Ann, Is there any way to see how they use the funds they receive? I would like to donate, but definitely would shy away if they turned out to use the majority of their funds for ‘administrative’ services (like e.g. Komen does)

Ann, let me try to help –
100% of each donation, and there is no minimum (every dollar counts!) stays in the community it is raised in. None of the fundraised dollars go to pay salaries or pay bounces etc., they are used for a variety of things such as, home modifications, specialized equipment, emergency needs and other special projects that directly impact the lives of the people who choose Hope’s services. The funds advance our mission of supporting Alaskans who experience disabilities to live full lives in the communities of their choice.
We except all forms of payment, cash, checks & credit cards. On the Hope Walk site pages, folks are able to give securely online. Walk donation transactions do not run through Paypal (although the general donations folks give on the Hope website do go through paypal), the host program that helps us organize and keep track of all the Walkers is ran just like paypal, just not called paypal.

All funds stay on peninsula and no admin funds are taken from them. I don’t think we have a donation tracking system but funds are used to support folks without waivers and for resource for emergencies for peeps
