Slow cookin’ Sunday

Cece finally is understanding that just because you can smell something cookin’ doesn’t necessarily mean it’s time to eat.  We struggled with this for a long time because she just didn’t understand and would have a melt down so I quit using my crock pot.  This past month I’ve started using it again and the torturous day long wonderful aromas seem to not bother her any longer.  So I decided that since it’s a balmy 15F outside and I’m a little stuffed up and Glenna has a runny nose and has been complaining that her nose hurts and is yucky that it was a good day for a big pot of soup….

Mmm crock pot full of soup. Started with a layer of big carrot chunks, then potato pieces, followed by chopped onion and garlic. Lots of spices then natural beef pieces topped with stock concentrate, worchestershire sauce. Lastly a can of organic chopped tomatoes and enough water to cover. Set the crock pot on low and it’ll cook for the next 8+ hours. Mmm can’t wait until dinner! Think I’ll make some fresh herb biscuits and green/spinach salad to go with it.

mmm….sigh….the perfect Sunday Supper!

Stop by if you’re in the neighborhood!  Dinner will be ready at 6 p.m. 😀  LOL
