Let the celebration begin! Glenna’s 3rd Birthday….day 1

While Cece was working hard with her primary caregiver at the kitchen table…

The soon to be birthday girl jumped right into helping me in the kitchen. This is I think the first time that Glenna has ever shown an interest in “helping” in the kitchen before ūüėÄ

she helped….

and helped….

and discovered that helping Momma cook is fun!

After they (homemade dairy free yellow cupcakes) were done baking we set them to cool and then the girls went to bed and I mixed up some homemade faux dairy free buttercream frosting and went to work finishing them……

And Viola! Here’s the finished product! They’re topped with princess rings that I got from the Safeway Bakery for only 10 cents each.

So tomorrow these will go to preschool with Glenna to share with her friends and celebrate her birthday. ¬†Her birthday is actually on Monday but she doesn’t go to school on Mondays so we’re celebrating it tomorrow. ¬†So that’s day one of her birthday celebrations. ¬†Her and I have been “visiting” her birthday present at the store for a couple of weeks now. ¬†We were there shopping today and checked on it. ¬†Glenna is so very excited and I told her that maybe tomorrow while she’s at school the “Birthday Fairy Princess” would bring it to our house! ¬†LOL ¬†aka I have to go get it and get it wrapped while she’s at school! ¬†ūüėÄ
