Treasure every moment

We each have our troubles every single day
We each struggle with our loved ones to try to find our way
We each take for granted the time we have together
We don’t understand that it cannot last forever

To often we dwell on the battles we must face
Trying in vain, thinking it’s happiness we chase
When instead one must stop and take a breath, look around
For we do not need to chase happiness it’s already here to be found

Slow down and enjoy every moment, every minute
Give thanks for your life and everyone that’s in it
For you never know it could change when you blink
To you it won’t happen, it can’t that’s what you think

But our lives are precious in the moment we should cherish
Because we never know when our loved ones on this earth could perish
So instead of complaining and whining to each other
Stop, take a break, give thanks, show love to another

Realize how fortunate you are on this day, this moment right now
Don’t question, criticize, hurt or wonder how
Rather be grateful to each and every single person in your life
Hug your friends, your family, your kids, your husband or your wife

Take time each day to tell them how much you care
Spend time being happy with this life that you share
Shed a tear for the ones lost, it’s always good to cry
But know they’re in heaven, they’re free now to fly

Remember them all, never forget they are watching from above
Even we cannot see them, we still can feel their love
Be brave, move forward, treasure this time right now and here
For the ones that have gone will always in our hearts be near
